Hand Over Coordinator

Doha, Qatar

Parsons is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Hand Over Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing the project handover process, ensuring the smooth transition of completed works from the construction team to the client and relevant stakeholders, particularly in drainage and sewerage projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee the handover process for completed construction works in drainage, sewerage, and infrastructure projects, ensuring all documentation, certificates, and approvals are collected and submitted for final handover to the client.

  • Coordinate with various teams, including construction, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure that all project deliverables related to drainage and sewerage works are met before handover.

  • Track and manage all handover documentation, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and in compliance with project specifications, especially for drainage and sewerage systems.

  • Conduct handover meetings with clients and stakeholders to review the status of completed drainage and sewerage works, address any outstanding issues, and ensure all requirements are met.

  • Ensure compliance with all project contractual obligations related to the handover process, including the completion of all final inspections, testing, and approvals, with a focus on drainage and sewerage projects.

  • Liaise with the client and stakeholders to address any concerns or requirements during the handover phase, particularly related to sewerage systems and drainage infrastructure.

  • Prepare and maintain handover schedules, ensuring that all tasks related to drainage and sewerage works are completed on time and in accordance with project timelines.

  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, O&M (Operation and Maintenance) manuals, and other relevant documentation for the final handover of drainage and sewerage systems.

  • Coordinate and follow up on final inspections and testing, ensuring all punch list items related to drainage and sewerage projects are addressed and resolved before official handover.

  • Ensure that all required regulatory approvals and permits related to drainage and sewerage systems are obtained and ready for handover.

  • Provide post-handover support to address any issues or follow-up requirements identified by the client or stakeholders, particularly related to sewerage systems and drainage infrastructure.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited university.

  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in project coordination or handover management, specifically in drainage, sewerage, or infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years in a consultancy environment.

  • Proven experience in managing handover processes, including documentation, final inspections, testing, and compliance with contractual obligations in drainage and sewerage projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly related to drainage systems, sewerage networks, and infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams in drainage and sewerage projects.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project), and document management systems.

  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with international and local handover standards and best practices, particularly in drainage, sewerage, and infrastructure construction.

  • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during the handover process, especially related to sewerage and drainage systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all documentation and deliverables related to drainage and sewerage works are accurate and complete.

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth collaboration during the handover process of drainage and sewerage systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure, ensuring timely handover of drainage and sewerage projects while maintaining a high level of quality and compliance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to address issues or discrepancies that arise during the handover phase of drainage and sewerage systems.

  • Experience in managing client expectations and ensuring a smooth transition of drainage and sewerage works.

  • Experience working in the Middle East or Gulf region, familiar with local regulations and construction practices for drainage and sewerage systems.

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project handover phase, especially for drainage and sewerage infrastructure.
