Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join MSK's Grants & Contracts team as a Grants Manager. This role is responsible for the pre-award and non-financial post-award administration of research grants and contracts, helping investigators navigate sponsor requirements, develop competitive proposals, and ensure compliance with institutional and agency regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the pre-award information consultant for researchers.
  • Provide analysis of sponsor guidelines, develop and review budgets for all grant applications, and review agency application forms and administrative documents.
  • Ensure the timely submission of proposals to sponsor agencies.
  • Maintain institutional compliance with federal, state, and other applicable regulations, policies, and procedures regarding sponsored and non-sponsored research.
  • Review and interpret funding opportunity announcements.
  • Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure successful grant management.

Key Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in research administration, grants management, or a related field, preferably within an academic, healthcare, or research environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the pre-award grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budget preparation, and sponsor submissions.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting funding opportunity announcements (FOAs), sponsor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Core Skills:

  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) license is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and complete projects independently with minimal direction.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting funding opportunity announcements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pre-award grant submission process is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with NIH applications, policy regulations, and web-based submission software (e.g., Huron, Cayuse) is preferred.

  • Location: 633 Third Avenue, NYC
  • Schedule: remote, 37.5 hours
  • Reporting to: Manager, Grants and Contracts

 

Pay Range: $83,800.00 - $134,000.00

 

FSLA Status: Exempt
