Abbott Ireland Commercial Liffey Valley Dublin

Opened in 1946, this operation, based in Liffey Valley Dublin was the first Abbott business unit to be established in Ireland. This business is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of a wide range of diabetes, diagnostic, and nutritional products in Ireland. This role will be office based in The Liffey Valley office.

Position: Abbott Nutrition Dietetic Graduate (14 Months) Abbott Ireland

The Graduate Dietitian, referred to as a Nutrition Specialist until CORU registration is complete, is a key member of the Abbott Nutrition Ireland team. This role supports the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based nutrition services, ensures the accuracy and compliance of nutrition communication, and contributes to regulatory, clinical, and commercial activities across the organisation. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified dietitian to apply clinical and scientific knowledge in a commercial healthcare environment while developing professional expertise in medical nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve content for Abbott Nutrition marketing materials to ensure accuracy, scientific integrity, and compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.

  • Conduct literature searches to support internal team needs or specific requests from healthcare professionals.

  • Translate complex scientific evidence into clear, accurate, and clinically relevant messaging.

  • Operate a dietetic helpline providing high‑quality nutrition advice to healthcare professionals across Ireland.

  • Respond to enquiries from healthcare providers with evidence‑based, professional guidance.

  • Work closely with line manager to support regulatory submissions and reimbursement applications for Abbott Nutrition products available in Ireland.

  • Assist in maintaining documentation and compliance aligned with regulatory, CORU, and company standards.

  • Strong academic performance combined with extracurricular or voluntary achievements.

  • Ability to quickly learn and accurately interpret technical and scientific information.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders and external healthcare professionals.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organisation, time management, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • A collaborative, team‑oriented approach.

  • Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Required Professional Qualifications

  • Level 8 BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent qualification).

  • Evidence of CORU application (required at job‑offer stage).

Additional Information

  • The successful candidate will hold the title Nutrition Specialist until a CORU registration number is issued.
