Job Description Summary

The GNF-A FMO Production Scheduler is responsible for production planning, finite scheduling, and material flow activities supporting Global Nuclear Fuel's Fuel Manufacturing Operation (FMO). This role works closely with manufacturing leadership to ensure production schedules align with customer requirements, operational priorities, staffing availability, and material readiness. The position reports directly to the GNF-A Planning Manager and maintains a strong collaborative relationship with the FMO Manufacturing Plant Manager.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing leadership in the planning of staffing, equipment, and other resources.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for FMO production planning and scheduling, including developing and integrating planning tools throughout GNF-A.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, auditors, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate daily production scheduling activities for FMO, including work assignments, resource allocation, and overtime scheduling to support operational needs.
  • Work directly with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Support Functions, and Manufacturing Leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Serve as backup for FCO/ GNF-A Material Planner responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum qualifying experience includes 1 year of supervisory experience in a nuclear, manufacturing, or technical environment; or 2 years of technical experience in nuclear or manufacturing operations; or 3 years of operator experience in nuclear operations, with demonstrated experience supporting production schedules, coordinating resources, and maintaining procedural compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated experience using production planning and scheduling tools, material and inventory planning processes, ERP systems (preferably SAP), Fuel Business System (FBS), and database management and data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to drive positive change and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional improvement efforts.
  • Knowledge of nuclear fuel manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environment, including a strong commitment to procedural compliance.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification, with practical experience implementing process improvements and influencing teams through change.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, resolve urgent operational issues, and deliver long-term projects

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
