About this Global Supply Manager, Fluid Systems role at Electric Hydrogen

We are seeking a Global Supply Manager, Fluid Systems to own global sourcing strategy and supplier management for process equipment and balance of plant fluid systems. In this role, you will lead sourcing activities with an international supplier base, from RFQ through contract negotiation, qualification, and production ramp, while applying structured program management to keep procurement execution on schedule.
This role is ideal for a sourcing professional with strong technical fluency and experience working across engineering and commercial teams. You will translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies, evaluate supplier capabilities, manage commercial negotiations, and drive supplier performance while maintaining visibility across cross-functional stakeholders.
This role requires up to 20–30% domestic and international travel to support supplier visits, qualification activities, and site assessments.
You will work in our San Jose, CA office and report to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing.
Primary Responsibilities

Own global sourcing strategy and supplier selection for process equipment and balance of plant fluid systems.

Lead RFQs, commercial negotiations, and contract terms directly with an international supplier base.

Apply structured program management to track procurement milestones from RFQ through qualification and production ramp.

Manage supplier performance, development, and risk across a global supplier network.

Partner with engineering to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier selection criteria.

Evaluate supplier technical capabilities and ensure alignment with engineering specifications and project requirements.

Identify and mitigate supply risk, escalate issues proactively, and maintain visibility across key stakeholders.

Support supplier qualification activities and site assessments.

Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes as the company scales.

Support production ramp and new product introduction activities as required.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

8–10 years of relevant sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management experience.

Experience within oil and gas, chemical processing, or other capital-intensive process industries.

Direct experience sourcing process equipment internationally, including supplier negotiation and contract ownership.

Strong technical fluency with process equipment, including the ability to evaluate engineering specifications, assess supplier technical capability, and negotiate from a position of technical credibility.

Demonstrated program or project management experience applied to procurement execution.

Experience managing supplier performance, development, qualification, and risk.

Experience working with a global or international supplier base.

Ability to independently own commercial terms and supplier negotiations.

Familiarity with production ramp or new product introduction (NPI) environments.

Experience with project management tools and product lifecycle management systems.

Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
