How You Will Make a Difference
A successful Onboarding Lead at Klaviyo is a builder, operator, and cross-functional connector who is energized by owning complex programs end-to-end. You are comfortable managing details and driving strategy, and you thrive in a small, high-impact team. In this role, you will:
- Own the end-to-end operational delivery of Base Camp across all global cohorts, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability as Klaviyo grows
- Build and maintain program infrastructure including schedules, facilitator guides, logistics, tooling, and vendor relationships
- Track and report on program health using qualitative and quantitative data—including completion rates, satisfaction scores, and time-to-productivity metrics—and use those insights to drive continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and maintain onboarding curriculum that reflects Klaviyo's culture, values, and business priorities, applying instructional design best practices across live, async, and digital modalities
- Apply AI tools actively and creatively across every stage of the content lifecycle—from needs analysis and curriculum design to content generation, personalization, and reinforcement—continuously experimenting to make learning faster to build and more impactful to experience
- Partner with subject matter experts to keep content accurate, regionally appropriate, and refreshed as needed
- Build strong relationships with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure a seamless experience from pre-boarding through ramp
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder input on onboarding scope, timing, and priorities—influencing without authority to align partners around a unified new hire experience
- Partner with HRBPs, VP of HRBP & Talent Development, and the Senior Manager of L&D to design and deliver a dedicated onboarding experience for executives and senior leaders, including curated connection opportunities, briefing materials, and frameworks tailored to each leader's role and context
- Use AI to streamline program operations—automating workflows, surfacing insights from data, and finding new ways to scale a high-touch experience without sacrificing quality
Who You Are
- You have 8+ years of experience in program management, learning & development, or people programs—ideally with a focus on onboarding, new hire experience, or large-scale program operations
- You have experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a global or distributed environment
- You are a strong content developer with instructional design skills and experience building curriculum from scratch across multiple modalities
- You use AI as a core part of how you work—not just as a productivity tool, but as a creative partner for building better, faster, and smarter; you are always experimenting with what's possible
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
- You are a clear, confident communicator who can facilitate engaging learning sessions and influence senior stakeholders
- You are curious and data-driven—you measure what matters and use insights to improve program outcomes
- You are energized by experimentation and continuous improvement and are comfortable operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
- You are excited about the intersection of AI and learning and are actively staying at the edge of new tools, technologies, and approaches that can raise the bar for the employee experience
- You're a strong collaborator who brings a team-first mindset and knows how to build trust across functions
- You're excited to be a culture carrier, modeling Klaviyo's values and reinforcing them through every touchpoint of the onboarding experience
