Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

As a Global Clinical Integration Lead, you will provide strategic project and programme management support for complex business development, integration, separation and transition activities within Clinical Operations.

The role is focused on bringing structure and momentum to complex, high-priority initiatives. You will simplify complex work, develop clear roadmaps, coordinate activities across functions and ensure priorities, risks, dependencies and deliverables are actively managed.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Business Development, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development and other relevant functions to ensure integration and separation activities are effectively planned and executed. You will represent Clinical Operations in high-level cross-functional discussions and help translate broader business objectives into clear, actionable deliverables.

You will lead and facilitate workshops, establish clear ownership and governance, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and, where required, directly lead the execution of selected initiatives. The role requires flexibility, strong judgement and the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and changing environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead sub-workstreams and/or discrete programmes of work relating to integration, separation, transition and partnership opportunities.

• Develop and manage clear project roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks and actions to ensure high-priority initiatives remain on track.

• Provide senior leadership visibility of integration priorities, key risks, impacts, decisions and progress.

• Coordinate stakeholders across Clinical Operations, Business Development, Clinical Development and other relevant functions to drive effective cross-functional execution.

• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to define transition plans, activities, ownership and timelines.

• Establish and manage cross-functional working groups and governance forums, ensuring effective communication, alignment and escalation.

• Support the development and implementation of processes, guidance and written standards to improve consistency and efficiency across integration and post-deal activities.

• Partner with internal teams and external vendors/partners to establish transition strategies, agree deliverables and manage execution.

• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.

• Lead or support issue management, CAPA development/response and change control activities associated with integration and separation programmes, as required.

• Act as a subject matter expert for study delivery and integration/separation activities, contributing to broader Clinical Operations integration planning and execution.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business or related discipline.

• Strong project or programme management experience, ideally within a complex global organisation.

• Proven ability to manage high-priority projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and demanding timelines.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrix organisation and drive outcomes without direct authority.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex dependencies, risks and issues.

• Experience managing vendors, CROs, external partners or other third parties.

• Proven ability to drive process improvement and establish structured ways of working.

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear plans and actions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within Clinical Operations, clinical development, clinical study delivery or the broader life sciences environment.

• Experience supporting business development, integration, separation, divestment, transition or partnership activities.

• Experience developing written standards, processes, guidance or operating models.

• Experience in project management consulting, transformation, global process ownership or similar consulting-style environments.

• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and study delivery.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

The role may require selective travel to support key integration activities. Some face-to-face interaction may be expected during the early stages of an integration, with travel becoming more limited thereafter based on business need and rationale.

ONBOARDING AND TRAINING

The client organisation will provide the initial role-specific content and training. Thermo Fisher FSP team members will subsequently support knowledge transfer and ongoing training using a train-the-trainer model.
