• Position: Genetic Counselor-Personalized Medicine Research
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time, onsite
• Hours: Monday-Friday, [hours and flexible work schedules]

A Brief Overview:
The Genetic Counselor serves as a clinical and research contributor within the Center for Personalized Medicine at Endeavor Health. This position integrates genetics expertise with independent research leadership and cross-functional collaboration to advance the institution's mission in personalized medicine. This position centers the genetic counseling skillset as the primary lens through which research is shaped, implemented, and translated into meaningful clinical outcomes.

What you will do:
Research Development:

• Lead personalized medicine research initiatives, contributing to study design, implementation, and dissemination of findings.
• Serve as the clinical genetics subject matter expert on interdisciplinary research teams.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and research presentations.
• Support grant writing, protocol development, IRB submissions, and regulatory processes as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with research scientists, clinicians, and clinical operations leaders to improve personalized medicine care delivery through data-driven insights.      
• Collaborate across disciplines — including data, analytics, and clinical teams — to integrate genetics expertise into broader research, implementation, and quality initiatives.       
• Serve as a bridge between clinical and research leadership, facilitating communication and shared goals across teams.

Program Leadership:

• Engage patients, community stakeholders, and clinical partners to leverage real-world data to evaluate care delivery, patient outcomes, and disparities.     
• Translate research findings into clinical and programmatic insights that directly impact care delivery within the Center for Personalized Medicine.       
• Develop and lead programs that are aligned with institutional priorities

Mentorship & Professional Contribution:

• Provide guidance to genetic counseling students, research coordinators, and junior staff involved in personalized medicine research activities.     
• Contribute to the professional development and training of team members across clinical and research functions.

What you will need:

• Education: Masters Degree Genetic Counseling Required
• Experience: 1 Year Previous experience as a Genetics Counselor in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred
• Certification: ABGC Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) - American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) Required And
• Genetic Counselor - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required
