MercyOne Iowa Heart is seeking a BC/BE General Cardiologist to join its well-established practice in Des Moines, Iowa. Combined since 2009, MercyOne Medical Center and Iowa Heart Center are continuing to expand as one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious cardiovascular care practices.
Opportunity Highlights:
- General Cardiology call (1 in 20 nights)
- Academic appointment (Cardiology Fellowship, Internal Medicine Residency, Medical Students)
- Inpatient and Outpatient support from Advance Practice Providers
- Outreach clinic opportunities, approximately 2 times a month
Opportunity Details:
- 2-year income guarantee of $550,000/year
- $100,000 recruitment incentive
- Moving allowance up to $15,000
- Paid malpractice with tail coverage
- 403B with match and 457B savings plan
- CME annual allowance of $5,000
- Comprehensive Day-One benefits

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center was founded in 1970 and is one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the US. With 51 Physicians and 40 APPs, services are offered in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Iowa Heart Center has an accredited Cardiology Fellowship program (7 Fellows), has 8 of primary office locations and serves more than 19 outreach facilities spanning much of the state of Iowa.
