Are you enthusiastic about sport, customer service, and creating a safe, welcoming environment? We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and team‑focused General Assistant to support the daily operation of our world-class facilities.

The Role

As a General Sports Assistant, you will help ensure the safe and efficient daily running of our pitches, multi‑sports hall and related facilities. This hands‑on, customer‑facing role includes:

• Preparing and setting up equipment for bookings, training, events, tournaments, and matches
• Welcoming and assisting customers, clubs, referees, and event organisers
• Monitoring activities to ensure safety guidelines and policies are followed
• Conducting routine inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety and operational standards
• Reporting and addressing minor maintenance issues
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures
• Supporting community events and sporting activities
• Providing basic first aid or emergency response (if trained)
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Hull Sport and University services

This is a part time role with salary pro-rated in line with part time hours. This post is 22 hours per week, term‑time only, following a regular 6‑week rota, with shifts scheduled between:

• Weekdays: 6:30am – 22:30pm
• Weekends: 8:30am – 19:30pm
