Our partner is an AI startup that helps companies rip and replace their competitors through automated data migration, using AI agents to extract and import data into new systems. The "rip and replace" motion resonates strongly with revenue leaders because it is revenue-generating and helps them win deals. The company raised a $3.2M round, turned on revenue recently, and is approaching $1M in ARR on a Series A trajectory. The culture is intense, collaborative, mission-driven, and high-ownership.
The Opportunity
As the Founding Account Executive, you will run full-cycle sales and lay the foundation for a much larger go-to-market team. You will jump in, learn what is working and what is not, and help build the process to accelerate growth. There is an experimentation element too, from testing new channels to showing up at the right conference when it can move the needle.
This is a high-ownership seat reporting directly to the founder, with a clear line toward sales leadership as the team scales. Current deals start at $30K-$50K ACV with strong expansion potential.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close
- Build and refine the sales process as the foundation for a larger GTM team
- Self-source pipeline alongside inbound and top-of-funnel support
- Run experiments across channels to drive growth
- Travel opportunistically for major deals or customer on-sites
- Partner directly with the founder on go-to-market strategy
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience, ideally a strong SDR/BDR stint plus 1+ year carrying quota
- Demonstrated closing experience
- Experience with deals around $50K ACV and 45-60 day sales cycles with multiple touch points
- High intrinsic ownership and drive, suited to an in-person, intense environment
- Bonus: 5+ years in the NYC tech startup ecosystem with a network in venture-funded startups, or experience as an early rep at marquee Series A+ companies
