Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Supply Chain Fleet Planner & Analyst. This position is hybrid and located in Budapest.

The Fleet Planner supports enterprise fleet performance by translating demand, operational, asset, and compliance requirements into integrated fleet plans. The role provides the planning discipline, analytics, and cross-functional coordination required to ensure the returnable-container fleet is appropriately sized, available, maintained, and positioned to meet business needs. In partnership with Fleet Management, Site Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, and business stakeholders, the Fleet Planner supports fleet optimization, maintenance planning governance, spare-part readiness, and regulatory compliance. The position enables informed decisions on equipment availability, maintenance strategy, capital planning, service-provider needs, and operating risk while improving standardization, data quality, and planning effectiveness across the fleet network.

What You Will Do

  • Fleet Planning and Optimization
    • Develop short-, medium-, and long-range fleet demand forecasts.
    • Perform fleet sizing analysis using demand forecasts, route assumptions, cycle requirements, and customer needs.
    • Identify anticipated equipment shortages, surpluses, and positioning imbalances and recommend corrective actions.
    • Translate approved demand and production plans into actionable fleet requirements.
  • Maintenance Planning Governance and Compliance
    • Support maintenance planning governance to ensure the fleet remains safe, serviceable, and aligned with applicable regulatory, internal, and customer requirements.
    • Coordinate with Site Supply Chain and Maintenance teams on day-to-day maintenance planning priorities, equipment readiness constraints, service scheduling needs, and escalation of availability risks.
    • Partner with Engineering to develop and maintain spare-part bills of material for each Fleet SKU, including critical components, replacement parts, and planning assumptions required to support compliant fleet readiness.
    • Coordinate with Procurement on sourcing strategy development for spare parts, in-house maintenance support, third-party service repairs, and supplier readiness required to execute maintenance plans.
    • Support maintenance budget planning and approval processes by consolidating fleet condition insights, repair demand, spare-part requirements, service-provider assumptions, and cost drivers.
    • Monitor maintenance planning performance, compliance readiness, and equipment availability trends to identify risks, drive follow-up actions, and support continuous improvement in fleet reliability.
  • Asset Visibility and Availability
    • Monitor fleet inventory, equipment status, location, and availability across the network.
    • Analyze idle, overdue, dormant, or unaccounted-for equipment and support recovery or repositioning actions.
    • Maintain accurate planning records and support improvements to fleet master data and tracking quality.
    • Coordinate priorities with operations and logistics partners when equipment availability may affect service.
  • Forecasting and Capacity Support
    • Partner with demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, Sales, and business teams to understand future requirements.
    • Develop scenarios that evaluate the fleet impact of demand changes, route changes, customer onboarding, and network decisions.
    • Support fleet capital planning by quantifying expected equipment gaps and opportunities to avoid unnecessary purchases.
    • Document planning assumptions and maintain repeatable sizing methodologies.
  • Reporting, Analytics, and Improvement
    • Develop and maintain fleet reports, planning models, and KPI dashboards.
    • Analyze utilization, fleet turns, equipment availability, inventory accuracy, and forecast performance.
    • Provide recurring performance summaries and ad hoc analysis for operational and leadership decisions.
    • Support automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of fleet planning processes and tools.

What You Bring

Required:
