2-3 MONTHS PROJECT

The Specialist, Peak Season Operations plays a key role in supporting day-to-day transportation operations during Peak Season in North American market. This position is responsible for providing operational support to Local and Expedite operations, ensuring effective communication between RXO, customer's personnel, and drivers while maintaining high service standards and operational visibility.

The successful candidate will monitor driver attendance and check-in activities, support route and trailer assignments, assist with dispatch activities, track driver progress during transit, and provide back-end system support. The Specialist, Peak Season Operations serves as the first point of contact for operational issues, working to identify and resolve challenges while escalating concerns when necessary.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and a customer-focused mindset are essential to support the changing needs of the operation throughout Peak Season.

Working days: different shifts available

  • Monday - Friday
  • Tuesday - Saturday
  • Sunday - Thursday

Working hours: 6:00 - 14:00

Mode: full office work

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor driver check-in activities and ensure all drivers are dispatched and depart the facility according to scheduled departure times.
  • Assist with route and trailer assignments in collaboration with customer's personnel and your Team Leader to help ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with dispatch activities and provide real-time operational support.
  • Maintain visibility of driver activity and record tracking information throughout transit.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues while escalating complex situations to leadership when required.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with UPS personnel, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates within operational systems and reporting tools.
  • Support daily coverage requirements and collaborate with teammates to ensure successful execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Work closely with your Supervisor to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational expectations and project objectives.

     

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules based on operational needs.

Language skills

  • English: at least B2
  • Any additional language is a plus

Preferred Competencies

  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing operational environment.
  • Demonstrated follow-up skills and sense of ownership over assigned tasks and responsibilities.
