About this Fixed Income Division - Associate/Vice President, China Credit Sales (Hong Kong) role at Morgan Stanley
We’re seeking an Associate / Vice President to join Fixed Income Division as a China Credit Sales in Hong Kong to develop and manage institutional client relationships, deliver investment ideas, and drive secondary market trading activity across China credit products.
In the Fixed Income Division, we provide market-making, financing, and investment solutions to institutional clients globally. This role focuses on China credit markets and partners closely with trading, research, syndicate, and structuring teams to deliver differentiated client coverage and execution capabilities.

What you'll do in the role:
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors across China
- Market China credit investment opportunities and provide timely trade ideas, market color, and relative value analysis to clients.
- Execute client transactions across investment grade, high yield, and distressed credit products.
- Partner with trading desks to facilitate efficient execution and manage client flow.
- Coordinate with research analysts, syndicate, and capital markets teams to identify business opportunities and enhance client engagement.
- Monitor market developments, issuer-specific events, and macroeconomic trends affecting China credit markets.
- Contribute to revenue generation through proactive client coverage and disciplined business development.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 3 – 6+ years of experience in fixed income sales, credit sales, credit research, trading, or a related capital markets function.
- Understanding of China credit markets, including corporate bonds, property sector credits, financial institutions, and sovereign-related issuers.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate complex market views and investment recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Experience in identifying client needs and delivering tailored investment solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin required
