A capital-intelligence media brand - newsletter, LinkedIn, X and YouTube. Future Finance doesn't sell directly; it builds reach and credibility, then hands qualified demand to the rest of the group.

The audience is US-based, 45-plus, net worth above $1M. They understand macro but don't know how to act on it - intelligent, busy, and sold to constantly.

The brand register is calm, premium and institutional. It never slides into wealth-guru, outrage or doom media, because the audience we want won't trust that tone. This matters more than anything else in this hire.

The role

You write Future Finance's long-form YouTube scripts - 30 to 35 minutes, roughly 4,200 words, one per week - and own the research behind every claim in them, so every claim traces to a primary document. You also cut 3–4 short-form scripts from each episode for distribution.

You do not pick topics and you do not own packaging (titles, thumbnails). That stays with the showrunner and the production agency. You do not name the channel's proprietary frameworks - those come from Salim. You may write about a mechanism he's already explained; you won't invent one and hand it to him to defend on camera.

What success looks like

• One publish-ready script a week, minimum - four a month, delivered as a full package: research memo, six-beat hook, body, retention map, SHOW/SOURCE tags inline, self-scored review sheet.
• Clears the review gate at 7 of 9 or better on first submission, scored against the Future Finance Content Standard.
• Zero unsourced factual claims - every claim carries a SOURCE tag to a primary document, both sides of contested arguments get argued, and thin research gets flagged, never filled in with a plausible number.
• Retention targets on the finished episode - 70%+ first-minute retention, average view duration above the channel baseline.
• Compliance held on every script - no predictions, no recommendations, no certainty language about what happens next.
• Weekly execution - memo submitted ahead of packaging, attendance at the weekly review, Slack availability during working hours, deadline risk flagged the day it's known.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Sourcing discipline. You open the primary document, not the article about it, and can defend any claim in your own work on the spot.
• Finance literacy. You can read a 10-K, a central bank statement or a BIS paper and come out with an argument.
• Register control. You can raise a script's emotional voltage without reaching for wealth-guru or doom tools, and rewrite a hyped paragraph down without losing the stakes.
• Retention craft. You design open loops, pattern interrupts and a climax on purpose - and can draw the retention map because you built it that way.
• Writing for the ear. Scripted for a teleprompter: one idea per sentence, every term defined at first use, read aloud before submission.
• Comfort working inside someone else's frame. You flag a hole in the argument and stop - you don't hedge around it or quietly strengthen a claim the host can't defend.
• Proactivity, attention to detail, high standards, curiosity about macro and digital assets, and integrity about what you have and haven't checked.

What you'll need to show us

To reach an interview, you need to evidence all four of the following. We screen on evidence, not on our own read of the writing.

1. Proven scale, in this category. Seven figures of cumulative views on finance, macro, investing or business long-form - or a verified 3x-plus outlier against a serious finance channel's trailing average. Must be 25-minute-plus long-form; short-form and 8-minute credits don't count. Retention data required (average view duration, first-minute retention - not view counts), shown live via YouTube Studio screenshare or confirmed by the channel owner. Screenshots alone, or channels you can't name, don't count.
2. A high-value audience, not just a large one. What the channel sells, at what price, to whom - sponsor class and CPM are good proxies. Our viewer is 45-plus with $1M+ net worth.
3. At least one sample in a calm, sourced, institutional register. If the whole portfolio is hype, get-rich or doom content, that's a disqualifier regardless of the numbers.
4. Willingness to complete a paid work sample. One assigned title, five working days, $1,250 - paid whether or not we hire.

How we'll hire

• Stage 1 - Past work review and interview. We read the actual work - not a summary or a list of links - against the four requirements above. If all four are evidenced, you move forward regardless of our personal taste in the writing.
• Stage 2 - Paid trial script. One assigned title, the Content Standard, five working days. Paid $1,250, whether or not you're hired - that's told upfront. You deliver: a research memo (two pages max, every claim sourced to a primary document, both sides of any contested argument argued); the hook (six beats, 70 words or fewer); the full script with SHOW cues and SOURCE tags inline; a retention map.
• Stage 3 - Contract → conversion. Trial script, then a contract which includes a 3 month trial period at the monthly rate, converting to a permanent seat on day 90 against the outcomes above.
