The Opportunity
This is a critical position within the Pediatric Finance organization. This individual will lead, coordinate, and ensure successful delivery of all financial planning and analysis for the Similac WIC P&L. Additionally, this role supports WIC strategy through the development of valuation models used to evaluate WIC contract bids. The role is also responsible for continuous market diagnostics and forecasting, while partnering with Commercial Analytics and Brand Marketing to ensure alignment across the teams. The role also includes modeling the financial impact of innovation throughout the development process. This requires effective interaction with multiple functional areas and with Senior Pediatric leadership.
What You’ll Work On
- Prepare analysis of monthly and quarterly WIC financial results, providing insightful commentary for management reporting
- Prepare and maintain WIC financial model to be used to evaluate WIC contract bids
- Develop innovation financial projections and act as the main point of contact for innovation financials throughout the development lifecycle
- Provide a wide range of ad-hoc analysis to Senior Management to support decision-making.
- Prepare presentation materials for Senior Management financial and strategy reviews.
- Ensure that financial information is communicated on time, the information is accurate, complete and policies and standards are met.
- Effective time management by prioritizing tasks/projects to ensure timely submission of deliverables
- Assist in ad hoc process and system projects as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- Strong PC/system skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Financial expertise: Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to develop detailed financial models; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of financials ad hoc analysis and preparation of presentations for senior leadership is a critical component of this role.
- Leadership: This individual will lead directly and indirectly as the key point of contact for WIC and Innovation financials. Must possess demonstrated leadership skills, including influencing others and maintain autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: This role interfaces with multiple levels within the organization and excellent communication skills are essential. Constant interaction with multiple levels of the organization will require demonstrated maturity, professionalism and tactfulness.
- Deliver Results: Candidate must manage multiple priorities and changing customer demands under tight timelines. Strong organizational skills will also be critical to success. Ability to effectively manage workload to ensure deadlines are not missed is critical. The individual must be highly motivated and have a desire to innovate. The ability to work independently is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Experience in a financial modeling role
- Commercial finance in Retail and/or Health Care
- SAP experience

The base pay for this position is
$113,300.00 – $226,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
