Finance Graduate

Overview

Mimecast’s Finance internship will provide insight into the day to day activities of a privately funded SAAS company. You’ll have the opportunity to work across various groups including, Accounting Operations, Payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, etc. This role provides an great opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to learn, grow and stand out in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day department related and supervised activities to build foundational knowledge and gain experience working in a leading cybersecurity company
• Assist with departmental and/or stakeholder activities and gain exposure to Finance processes and practices
• Assist in processing routine reporting, with management oversight
• Take direction from manager and work closely with department team to execute work assignments
• Assist in documentation generationl in response to various business requests
• Assist with Accounts Payable indexing for vendor payments
• Perform data entry into Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and electronic filing systems, required to maintain integrity and accuracy of data
• Assist in creating presentations and may present to department manager and team members
• Conduct research and perform data analysis
• Engage in other ad hoc activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

• Completed at least 1-2 years towards undergraduate Finance or Accounting degree
• Passionate and willing to learn about overall company, business operations, culture, and values
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive and eager to tackle new projects and ideas, flexible and adaptable to work assignment
• Able to work independently, with management oversight, and in team environment
• Possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Solid work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Great communication skills
