We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller with 7–12 years of experience to oversee financial operations, accounting processes, reporting, controls, compliance, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in finance and accounting, excellent analytical capabilities, and the ability to ensure accuracy, transparency, and integrity across the organization’s financial activities.

The Finance Controller will play a key role in managing financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, cash-flow management, internal controls, audits, and statutory compliance. This position will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights and support sound business decisions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes and ensure completion within defined timelines.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, MIS, cash-flow statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies, processes, and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and other core accounting activities.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis in collaboration with business and functional teams.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, expenses, and financial performance, highlighting key trends and potential risks to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, statutory regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Support statutory audits, internal audits, tax assessments, and preparation of required financial documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, cost efficiency, and operational controls.
  • Develop and monitor financial KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Review financial data and identify discrepancies, control gaps, unusual transactions, and potential financial risks.
  • Partner with business teams to evaluate financial implications of operational and strategic decisions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide finance and accounting team members where applicable.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Controllership.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash-flow management.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and statutory compliance.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced MS Excel or equivalent financial tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, financial discipline, and ownership mindset.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience: 7–12 years in Finance, Accounting, Financial Controllership, or a related function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience managing financial reporting, controls, audits, and finance operations is preferred.
