Job Title: Federal Applications Coordinator

Summary
Provide leadership, oversight, and support for the implementation of Perkins federal legislation and funding through state and local administration and coordination with eligible recipients, administrators, and management.


Education and Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of two years federal grant or finance experience.
  • Ability to analyze data; strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); and ability to interpret, document, organize and secure detailed information from federal, state, and local sources. 

Preferred:

  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and assistance at the state and local level for implementing Perkins legislation that supports the improvements innovation, and performance of career and technology education programs and services.
  • Participate in the coordination and implementation of the Perkins State Plan and annual revisions.
  • Conduct eligible recipient local application review and approval.
  • Participate in desktop, virtual and onsite monitoring and local evaluations as indicated in the Comprehensive Perkins Monitoring and Technical Assistance Plan for eligible recipients, administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide technical assistance to state staff and eligible recipients regarding Perkins legislation and Uniform Grant Regulations, including providing and presenting training activities and workshops.
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate documentation for state and federal audits and monitoring.


Salary and Benefits

$51,009.95 - $56,773.95

  • The state provides a benefit allowance to help you pay for insurance premiums which include health, dental, life, and disability insurance.
  • The amount of your allowance, $9,051.60 - $21,942.72, is determined based upon the dependents you choose to include in health coverage.
  • State paid teachers’ retirement pension and flexible benefits plan.

Total salary and benefits package valued at $65,575.51 - $84,664.18


Management Responsibility
No management responsibility.

 

Communication Skills

Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents as necessary; to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community; write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. This position requires good presentation skills to provide training opportunities to eligible recipients.


Mathematical Skills
Apply moderately complex mathematical calculations.

 

Reasoning Skills
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Licenses, Certificates, Registrations
Requires valid state driver's license.


Physical Demands
Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Work Environment
Position based in Stillwater, OK. Requires some in-state and occasional out-of-state travel.
