Family Ministries Associate (Village Kids & Youth) — Calgary

Reports to: Lead Pastor Hours: 20 hrs/week | Flexible schedule, Sundays + occasional evenings

About the Role

The Family Ministries Associate ensures kids and youth attending Village Church Calgary are connected, cared for, and experiencing great discipleship every Sunday. This role owns the Family Ministry systems, standards, and volunteer team — recruiting, training, and caring for the people who make Sunday mornings and midweek youth ministry happen.

What You'll Do

• Recruit, train, and support the Family Ministries volunteer team
• Coordinate Sunday classroom and midweek youth preparation (curriculum, supplies, crafts, resources)
• Send weekly lesson communications so volunteers are set up for success
• Run monthly Lead Team meetings and bi-annual volunteer trainings
• Organize quarterly Parent Labs/Huddles
• Manage the Family Ministry budget and support yearly strategy planning
• Keep classrooms equipped and ready, and volunteer records up to date
• Write a monthly Family Ministry newsletter
• Partner with the Family Ministry Director and staff team on church-wide initiatives and events
• Help create a safe, welcoming, excellent environment for kids and families
