Facility Services Utility Support

Job Description Summary

Facility Services Utility Support position supports the daily cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the facility through janitorial services, recycling and waste management, material handling, and general facility support activities.

This role is responsible for maintaining clean and organized workspaces, operating equipment such as balers, forklifts, and pallet jacks, supporting grounds maintenance activities, and assisting with special projects while adhering to all safety and quality standards.

 

 

Job Description

Key Functional Areas

Facility Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and maintain production, office, restroom, breakroom, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Collect and remove trash and recycling materials.
• Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies.
• Operate floor care equipment including scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaning equipment.

Recycling & Material Handling

• Operate balers and waste management equipment.
• Sort, bale, and dispose of cardboard and recyclable materials.
• Remove and stage wood pallets.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely throughout the facility

Grounds & Facility Support

• Support outdoor grounds maintenance.
• Perform snow removal and weather-related site support activities.
• Assist with painting, power washing, and facility improvement projects.
• Perform high dusting and production area cleaning activities.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Complete required training and comply with all site-specific procedures.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $13.60 - $16.00
