The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of company facilities, equipment, and building systems. This role ensures the safety, functionality, and compliance of all facilities while managing maintenance personnel, contractors, budgets, and preventive maintenance programs. The Facility Maintenance Manager works closely with operations, leadership, and external vendors to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and general facility infrastructure.
Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
Coordinate emergency repairs and facility-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.
Team Leadership
Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians.
Schedule and assign maintenance activities to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for maintenance personnel.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Select, manage, and evaluate third-party contractors and service providers.
Negotiate service agreements and maintenance contracts.
Ensure contractors adhere to company safety standards and performance expectations.
Budget & Asset Management
Develop and manage departmental budgets and maintenance expenditures.
Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Recommend capital improvements and facility upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Track maintenance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and local building codes.
Maintain records related to inspections, permits, maintenance activities, and compliance audits.
Lead safety initiatives and conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
Support emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
4+ years of facility maintenance experience.
3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience managing building systems, maintenance programs, and vendor relationships.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
Understanding of OSHA standards, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and project management abilities.
