FACILITIES SUPERVISOR - MOON CORPS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a high-performing team handling all facilities operations—including general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, landscaping, waste management, and site improvements—to deliver zero unplanned disruptions for 1,000+ residents and critical Starship operations
- Manage third-party vendors (e.g., janitorial, contractors) to enforce corporate standards, optimize contracts, and drive cost savings while maintaining top-tier service
- Develop, plan, and execute strategic site improvement projects aligned with business goals, from residential upgrades to amenity enhancements
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations across diverse assets: housing, employee lodging, food & beverage venues, recreation facilities, and private school—ensuring safe, comfortable living in a remote frontier
- Design and implement a proactive preventive maintenance program for launch and support facilities, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency
- Monitor construction projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with zero impact to ongoing operations or critical paths
- Coach, develop, and inspire a team of maintenance technicians and trades professionals to peak performance
- Prioritize tasks dynamically in a fast-paced environment, eliminating blockers and innovating for continuous improvement
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency diploma
- 3+ years of professional experience with facilities management
- 1+ years of experience leading a team or project
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, facilities management, or related field
- Proven budget management and vendor negotiation skills, with a track record of cost optimization
- Experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or large-scale community/resort operations (e.g., cruise ships, campuses, or remote sites)
- Expertise with asset management software and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, generators, fuel systems)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail, relentless focus on cleanliness/standards, and ability to thrive independently in dynamic, deadline-driven settings
- Innovative problem-solver who anticipates needs and drives efficiency in high-volume, 24/7 environments
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to relocate to Starbase, TX and travel to remote Moon Corps sites on critical projects (up to 85% travel)
- Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and critical operations
