Marsh’s Executive Remuneration team focuses on providing high-quality, tailored, and independent consulting advice on remuneration and our advice is relied upon at the highest levels of corporate decision making, including the Board of Directors and C-Suite executives for companies in the UK and beyond.

We’re looking for an Executive Compensation Consultant to join the team in London. This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in the office three days per week.

The role: Executive Compensation Consultant

As a core member the team, you’ll work with a diverse range of clients and industries, taking on roles as project manager to help diagnose client issues and develop executive remuneration solutions for Remuneration Committees and management. You will collaborate with our Reward team, which supports broader workforce reward strategies.

We will rely on you to:

• Manage project deliverables to prepare for Remuneration Committee or Executive Committee meetings. Serve as a point of contact for clients and to build trusted advisor relationships.
• Draft and review reports and analysis. Support the design of solutions, including incentive plans, remuneration policy reviews, and strategies in the context of IPOs or M&A activity.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work while managing project budgets.
• Attend and present at client meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to market development and thought leadership pieces, reinforcing Mercer’s position as a global HR consulting leader.
• Contribute to project proposals and marketing initiatives to attract new business.
• Maintain broad knowledge of Marsh’s offerings, connecting clients with relevant services and internal teams.
   

What you need to have:

• 4+ years of experience in executive remuneration / executive compensation (consulting preferred).
• Professional qualifications and experience from accounting, legal, tax or actuarial backgrounds are also relevant.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven analytical and technical skills, especially in Excel.
• Excellent written and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret data, tell compelling stories, and solve complex problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage clients effectively and influence stakeholders.
• Exceptional organisational and project management abilities.
• Attention to detail.
