Renishaw is an innovative engineering company with a proud history of delivering measurement, calibration and precision manufacturing solutions to some of the most complex engineering processes in the world. We are looking for an Events Manager to work out of our Americas HQ in West Dundee, IL.


The Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of corporate events, trade shows, meetings, and marketing initiatives. Working both independently and in close collaboration with the Marketing team, the Events Manager will deliver exceptional brand experiences that strengthen business relationships, drive sales opportunities, enhance corporate reputation, and increase brand awareness.


 This role oversees all aspects of event planning and execution, including event concept development, theme creation, project timelines, logistics coordination, technical requirements, vendor management, budget administration, invoice processing, risk management, staffing coordination, and post-event reporting. The Events Manager will also support initiatives to generate media exposure and maximize event impact and return on investment.

 

In addition, the Events Manager will collaborate with event and marketing teams across the Americas to align event strategies, standardize best practices, and promote operational excellence throughout the region. This role serves as a key partner to U.S. Marketing, Sales, Commercial, and Product teams, as well as Global Marketing colleagues, ensuring that events and trade shows support broader business and brand objectives.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  •  Develop and execute strategic events, trade shows, meetings, and customer engagement programs that support business and marketing objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of event planning and execution, including concept development, logistics, timelines, and on-site management.
  • Manage trade show strategy, promotional activities, and booth operations to maximize brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Oversee booth design, graphics, displays, marketing materials, and product presentation standards.
  • Coordinate vendors, venues, production partners, and technical requirements to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Manage event and trade show budgets, contracts, invoices, expenditure reporting, and ROI analysis.
  • Prepare post-event evaluations, including performance metrics, competitive intelligence, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate event-related risks while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Direct, mentor, and develop the Events/Tradeshow Specialist and support event teams throughout the Americas.
  • Manage event staffing, exhibit setup and teardown, and on-site execution to ensure a high-quality attendee experience.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Commercial, and Global teams to align event strategies with business priorities.
  • Promote best practices, process improvements, and operational consistency across regional event programs.
  • Measure event effectiveness and provide insights to optimize future investments and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:  Minimum


  • Degree in management or marketing
  • 5+ years related events planning experience
  • Knowledge of virtual/hybrid event platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to generate report, construct spreadsheets, construct booth design/layout, track inventory, and scheduling
  • Project management experience with proven time-management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
  • Experience with social media
  • Detailed oriented with strong relationship and organization skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data. The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR controlled data.  The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Compensation Range (Annual)
$90,000 to $110,000(depending on level and location)
In an effort to comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates regarding cash compensation, Renishaw sets standard pay ranges for all U.S.-based roles as established by job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, as well as geographic location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
