The Position

Event Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join the Roche RSS External Collaborations Enabling Team. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of various Roche DIA events with Healthcare professionals (HCP) for collaborations such as speaker programs, conferences, symposiums, customer events, and global launch meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, project management and organizing events with HCPs and demonstrate an understanding of how these activities integrate with omnichannel marketing strategies. The candidate will possess experience in leveraging event technology to create cohesive omnichannel experiences for our HCP customers and stakeholders.

These events may be in-person, virtual, or hybrid. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of events, acting as the primary point of contact for the stakeholders from various Customer Areas from planning through to the delivery of an event. This role requires extensive coordination and management of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution. You will build and maintain a trusted relationship with your partners and ensure a robust event plan, ensuring the delivery of ethical, high-quality and cost effective events that are in line with the event & business objectives. As a true leader, you will put together Event Squads and be responsible for managing, coaching and mentoring this team of experts. As a true Leader, you will be developing an environment where ideas are welcomed and ensuring feedback and continuous improvement culture is part of the team's DNA.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of diverse events for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), including speaker programs, symposiums, customer events, and global launch meetings across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Assemble, lead, and coach cross-functional Event Squads, fostering a collaborative, feedback-driven environment where fresh ideas are welcomed.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders—including venue providers, agencies, and booth builders—to negotiate contracts and deliver high-quality, cost-effective events.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams to embed event initiatives into broader omnichannel marketing strategies, using digital tools, event apps, and virtual platforms to drive attendee engagement.
  • Establish event KPIs, track post-event analytics, and deliver actionable insights to continually refine future event strategies.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to healthcare compliance standards and industry regulations across all event activities.

Who You Are

  • You bring 3 to 5+ years of event management experience, ideally within the healthcare, IVD, or pharmaceuticals sector, including experience managing HCP or patient engagement events.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • You possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments across global time zones.
  • You demonstrate solid knowledge of global healthcare compliance standards and hands-on familiarity with modern event management technologies and platforms.
  • You excel in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, with the ability to build trusted relationships and manage logistics calmly under pressure.
  • You are open to global travel for on-site event oversight as required and possess fluent spoken and written English skills.
