What We're Looking For

This position is an NCA-designated MLRO for our entity based in EU. The person in this role will be responsible for AML/CTF program across 27 EEA passporting jurisdictions, STR filings, transaction monitoring, and financial crime risk management. 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as designated MLRO for EU entity under local AML law
• Own EU AML/CTF compliance program across all EEA passported states
• File Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to local FIU
• Oversee transaction monitoring, sanctions screening (EU/OFAC), PEP screening
• Coordinate with IDT EU EMI on cross-border AML framework
• Implement 6th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (6AMLD) requirements
• Customer risk assessment (KYB/KYCC) for EU fintech clients
• Beneficial ownership verification (UBO registers)
• AML training for EU staff
• Interface with NCA (CBI/DNB) on AML supervisory matters
• Annual AML risk assessment for multiple jurisdictions
• EU sanctions compliance (EU Regulations, national implementations)
• Cross-border STR coordination within EEA

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of EU AML/financial crime experience
• CAMS, ICA Diploma, or equivalent EU certification required
• Prior MLRO or Deputy MLRO experience (EMI, PI, or bank)
• Deep knowledge of 5AMLD/6AMLD and national implementations
• STR filing experience (Ireland: goAML system; NL: FIU-NL portal)
• Multi-jurisdiction AML experience (EEA passporting context)
• Understanding of SEPA-related money laundering risks
• EU sanctions expertise (EU CFSP, national lists)
• Payments/fintech/EMI background
• Experience with NCA inspections (CBI, DNB, or equivalent)
• Multilingual preferred (English + local language)

Salary Range: €85,000.00 - €115,000.00
