ESG Reporting & Assurance Specialist

The ESG Reporting and Assurance Specialist supports the organization’s ESG reporting, data management, disclosure, and assurance activities. The role is responsible for coordinating ESG data consolidation and reporting processes, ensuring alignment with applicable reporting frameworks, standards, and assurance requirements. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external assurance providers, the Specialist strengthens reporting governance, data quality, controls, and processes; supports emerging disclosure requirements and readiness initiatives; and drives continuous improvement in the organization’s ESG reporting capabilities.


What you will do with us:

  • Coordinate ESG data assurance process, including managing requests from external assurance providers, tracking deliverables and timelines, and coordinating with internal subject matter experts to facilitate efficient assurance engagements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sustainability, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, and other functions to support ESG reporting objectives and disclosure requirements.
  • Consolidate, validate, and maintain ESG and greenhouse gas emissions data, ensuring the completeness, consistency, accuracy, and traceability of reported information.
  • Support the preparation, review, and publication of ESG disclosures, reporting deliverables, frameworks and indices, including GRI, SASB, ISSB, and TCFD-related disclosures.
  • Maintain ESG reporting methodologies, standards, calculations, policies, procedures, governance documentation, and supporting evidence, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in reporting tools and processes.
  • Develop and continuously improve ESG reporting controls, data management practices, procedures, and governance to enhance reporting quality, reliability, and efficiency, including evaluating ESG reporting software in collaboration with Accounting and the Controller organization.
  • Support ESG disclosure readiness initiatives, including CSRD, by assisting with data gap remediation, process and control documentation, Double Materiality Assessments, and ESG rating and ranking submissions such as CDP and EcoVadis.

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in ESG reporting, sustainability, assurance, auditing, or reporting frameworks are preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in ESG or sustainability reporting, corporate responsibility, assurance, auditing, or a related field, preferably within a multinational or publicly traded organization.
  • Experience coordinating ESG data assurance engagements with external auditors or assurance providers; experience working with major audit firms is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, validating, analysing, consolidating, and reporting ESG and sustainability data, including greenhouse gas emissions data.
  • Working knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards, with an understanding of evolving disclosure requirements such as GRI, SASB, ISSB, TCFD, and CSRD.
  • Strong data management, analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with experience documenting processes, controls, methodologies, governance procedures, and data quality practices.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong written and verbal English; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management/reporting platforms, and the use of Artificial Intelligence to improve data consolidation, reporting efficiency, and automation.
