Job Description

Spring 2027 Co-Op (Year-Round Work Available)

Duration: Monday, January 11th- December 17th, 2027

Location: Albany, NY

What You Can Expect:

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, procure, install, test hardware modifications to improve performance of semiconductor experimental reactors
  • Perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Determine and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
  • Assist in product enhancement and product development activities related to our advanced Film Deposition tools used in the manufacturing of semiconductors
  • Assist in developing methods and procedures to establish quality standards.
  • Works closely with engineers and technical to support a team environment.
  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Interface with external vendors on outsourced products and services

Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing undergraduate in electrical, mechanical or related fields.  
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starting individual with strong technical and hands-on skills
  • Experienced with wide range of hand tools and power tools used for assembling hardware components
  • Knowledge to interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams
  • Technical writing capability is preferred
  • Understanding of vacuum systems fundamentals and integral hardware components chemical reactor a plus
  • Experience programming micro-controllers is preferred

  

Physical Requirements: 

Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.  May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.

Salary Ranges

$30.35 - $40.60

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.  In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.  The talent advisor can share more details about total compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
