About this role

Join Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro as an Environmental Assistant and help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and caregivers. In this role, you will support daily operations through cleaning, waste disposal, and attention to detail. Your work helps advance our mission of empathy amplified by supporting excellent care in a community setting where every role matters.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with health care team members to provide waste disposal and cleaning services.

• Demonstrate dependability, problem solving, teamwork, organization, and effective time management.

• Report incidents, maintenance concerns, housekeeping issues, and painting issues to the Environmental Services supervisor.

• Provide indirect patient care by cleaning.

• Follow safety guidelines related to body mechanics, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment.

What you will need

• High school diploma or equivalency, required.

• No experience required.

• 1 year of healthcare Environmental Services experience, preferred.

• Strong dependability, problem solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize work and use time effectively.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment.
