Role Overview

Magnet Forensics is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to grow our private-sector business across North Asia.  This is an opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important market and play a central role in expanding Magnet Forensics’ enterprise presence across Japan and North Asia.

This role will focus on Japan as the primary market and have additional responsibility for South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The successful candidate will build pipeline, acquire new enterprise customers and expand strategic existing accounts.

We are looking for a senior cybersecurity salesperson with strong relationships across the Japanese enterprise market, particularly with CISOs, SOC leaders and incident response teams. They will own complex sales cycles from initial engagement through to close, working with customers, partners, marketing and sales engineering.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a territory plan, with a clear focus on expanding Magnet Forensics’ presence in Japan.
  • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, executive relationships, industry networking, marketing activities and partner engagement.
  • Acquire strategic new enterprise customers and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Own the complete enterprise sales cycle, including discovery, technical evaluation, commercial negotiation and close.
  • Apply MEDDPICC to qualify opportunities, build champions, engage economic buyers and maintain accurate forecasts.
  • Develop trusted relationships with CISOs, SOC leaders, incident response teams and corporate security stakeholders.
  • Work with distributors, resellers and systems integrators to develop and progress partner-led opportunities.
  • Represent Magnet Forensics at customer meetings, industry events and partner activities across the region.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity and forecasting information in Salesforce.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least seven years of enterprise cybersecurity sales experience.
  • Proven success selling software or technology solutions into enterprise SOC, incident response or corporate security teams.
  • Strong existing relationships within the Japanese enterprise and cybersecurity market.
  • A track record of winning new logos, building pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of MEDDPICC or a comparable enterprise sales methodology.
  • Experience working across both direct and partner-led sales models.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and executive communication skills.
  • Fluent Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Willing to travel regularly across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.  Travel will be required 30%-50% of the time.
  • Self-motivated and able to independently develop a territory.
  • Commercially focused, organised and disciplined in pipeline management.
  • Credible with both executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across different cultures, markets and time zones.
  • Proactive, accountable and motivated by long-term market development.
  • Nice to Have Skills

    • Experience selling Digital Forensics, Incident Response, investigative or threat intelligence technology.
    • Existing enterprise or partner relationships in South Korea, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
    • Knowledge of regional cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
    • Korean or Mandarin language skills.
    • Formal MEDDPICC training.

    Indicators of Success

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”.  It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have “been there, done that”.  We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

    How We Work

At Magnet Forensics, we take a hybrid-flexible approach to support your productivity and work-life balance. If you’re within a comfortable travel distance to one of our offices, you’ll occasionally join us in person. How often you’ll come in depends on your department and team needs, typically ranging from weekly to monthly. These in-person moments help us build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and celebrate our successes together. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team’s goals.

We’re excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to achieving great things together - both in the office and wherever you work best!

    The Most Important Thing

We’re looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they have demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences:

CARE – We care about each other and our mission to make a difference in the world.
OWN – We are accountable for our results – while never forgetting to act with integrity, empathy, and respect.
DEDICATE – We put our heart and soul into meeting the needs of our customers and helping them serve the people they protect.
EVOLVE – We are constantly innovating and exploring new ways to work together to make an impact with our work.

Here at Magnet Forensics, we are committed to continuous learning and are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. This commitment will be reflected in our hiring processes and embedded in our values and how we treat one another. If you’re interested in this role, but do not meet all of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply anyways.
