As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Research & Development (R&D) Process & Product Design team, which interfaces regularly with all R&D engineering departments and stages for the development of medical device product. This includes performing or modifying tests with fixtures, which may be developed internally for the execution of approved test methods. Typical areas of expertise that interface with the products may be: fluidics, mechanics, optics, electronics, interface programming, and lasers.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Providing hands-on technical support for product design and development processes by assisting in testing, documentation, and compliance activities, ensuring accurate documentation of test results.
  • Following established protocols to perform routine product evaluations, maintain laboratory equipment, and collect data to support research efforts.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting product design issues and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Developing foundational knowledge in product testing, materials analysis, and technical reporting to contribute to the overall development and validation of new products.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs. Assoc.+4 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior engineering or engineering technician experience, specifically in testing, product design, fixture development, and product assembly/rework support, ideally for medical devices.
  • Ability to write and execute Protocols and/or Test Methods a Plus
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical devices a plus.
  • Experience working with Pre-Clinical/Wet Lab Sample preparation a plus.

The salary range posted represents the anticipated hiring range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity, and may fall outside the posted range.
