Philips Medizin Systeme Böblingen develops and manufactures patient monitoring systems for the global market. Our solutions are widely used in intensive care units, operating rooms, and maternal and neonatal care settings. With more than one million monitors installed worldwide, Philips is a global leader in patient monitoring technology.

You will be part of the international Sustaining & Value Engineering team, which is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our active product portfolio. The team manages a broad range of activities, including design changes driven by component obsolescence, quality improvements, cost optimization initiatives, and compliance with the latest standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple countries and disciplines, contributing to projects that have a direct impact on healthcare providers and patients worldwide.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree, Diploma, or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Several years of professional experience in the medical device industry or another highly regulated industry.

  • Strong understanding of product development, design verification, design changes, risk management, and product lifecycle processes.

  • Experience working within Quality Management Systems and regulatory frameworks.

  • Good knowledge of international standards and regulations, particularly IEC 60601-1.

  • Experience leading smaller cross-functional projects and driving problem-solving activities.

  • High level of quality awareness, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is € 93,050.83 –€124,067.77.

We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.

The Sustaining & Value Engineering department is interdisciplinary and intercultural, with locations spread over 4 countries. Due to the wide range of products and areas of responsibility, you will have the opportunity to gain many new insights and develop your competency in various areas within the change projects. We have clear product owners, but this does not mean you are alone in this, we have a team that shares the knowledge, and you will have the support of experienced colleagues. Due to our international orientation of the team, you will also work on projects with colleagues across national borders.
