Context
Valtech is a strategic partner for a top luxury client operating model, operating as a Business Unit (BU) across multiple divisions. Under the new factory-based model, Valtech is accountable for standardized, industrialized delivery across coherent application territories, shifting from a supplier relationship to a strategic delivery partner responsible for transformation, performance, and scale.
Engineering excellence and AI are the two compounding levers of this model. AI is embedded across the full delivery lifecycle (engineering, agile delivery, quality, run and support), while a consistent engineering and delivery backbone makes performance repeatable across every division. This role leads both: the engineering vision and the multi-division delivery that turn the factory model into measurable outcomes.

The role
You report to a Client Partner and as an Engineering & Delivery Manager (all genders), you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring +15 years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Role Purpose
Own engineering and delivery for the Valtech the client Business Unit, with a strong focus on AI-augmented engineering, across all divisions and application territories. The role sets the technical and delivery standards of the BU, runs production-grade delivery at scale across divisions, and drives the move from experimentation to industrialized capability. It is both a leadership and a hands-on execution role, with authority grounded in expertise, accountability for outcomes, and credibility across the client and Valtech stakeholders.
Engineering Leadership (AI-First)
- Define and own the engineering vision, architecture principles, and technical standards across the client BU technology stack (Front/Salesforce, Data & Integration, Back/SAP, POS/Cegid)
- Make AI-augmented and agentic engineering the default way of working, leveraging Valtech accelerators and the agentic engineering stack
- Lead the engineering community and define reusable assets, frameworks, and engineering best practices shared cross-divisions
- Guarantee code quality, security-by-design, and production readiness across all factories
- Partner with the BU CTO to align the technology roadmap, build-versus-reuse decisions, and innovation priorities
Multi-Division Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery across multiple client divisions and departments, from build and integration projects to run (L2/L3) and support
- Run delivery against committed SLAs, objectives, and KPIs, with clear bonus/malus accountability where contractually owned
- Industrialize a standardized delivery model (methods, ceremonies, tooling) applied consistently across all factories
- Operate a hybrid onshore / nearshore / offshore model (Paris management, India Centers of Excellence), balancing the resource ratio for cost, quality, and proximity
- Manage capacity, staffing, and ramp-up across concurrent programs while protecting delivery commitments
AI Transformation & Operational Excellence
- Drive AI adoption from POC to scalable, measurable production capability across the delivery lifecycle
- Lead continuous improvement: automation, tooling, GenAI integration, process optimization, and time-to-market gains
- Track and report measurable outcomes: cycle time, quality, run reliability and incident rates, automation rate, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Enforce governance, documentation, and ownership standards across all initiatives
Governance & Performance
- Represent Valtech engineering and delivery in BU governance forums (BU Committee, Sounding Board, Extended Business Review, BU Alignment Committee)
- Align the engineering and delivery roadmap with the client Tech COE strategy and cross-divisions priorities
- Provide structured, conviction-led reporting on KPIs, business value, and strategic progress to the client and Valtech leadership
Team & Community Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop the BU engineering and delivery leadership team across onshore and offshore locations
- Federate a cross-functional AI, engineering, and innovation community across all divisions and territories
- Develop and retain key skills, maintain a skills matrix, and grow the delivery centers
- Ensure consistency of practices, standards, and culture across all BU factories
Your Profile
Hands-on engineering and delivery leader who pairs technical depth with the ability to industrialize at scale. AI-fluent, outcome-driven, and credible with both technologists and executives. Able to influence without formal authority, hold delivery commitments, and operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder, multi-division environments.
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Proven track record leading large-scale engineering and delivery organizations across multiple concurrent programs or business lines
- Deep, hands-on engineering background with demonstrated leadership of AI / GenAI adoption from POC to production
- Experience managing distributed, multi-division or cross-division tech delivery against committed SLAs and KPIs
- Command of modern delivery models: agile at scale, factory or managed-services delivery, and hybrid onshore / nearshore / offshore operations
- Strong grasp of e-commerce, retail, or omnichannel environments; familiarity with the Salesforce, SAP, data & integration, and POS stack is a plus
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on execution levels
- Fully bilingual French/English (mandatory)
