Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for assigned components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.
- Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and drive innovation.
- Project Delivery: Manage milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.
- Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.
What You’ll Bring - Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.

What Will Make You Stand Out - Desired Qualifications:
- Additional 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Technical proficiency in engineering software (ANSYS, NX) and programming languages (Python, Excel VBA) for data analysis.
- A "Lean" mindset, familiarity with AI-driven tools, and a passion for innovative design.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
