The Incoming, Quality Engineer is responsible for inspecting and ensuring incoming materials and components meet quality standards and specifications.

 

This position reports to the Assistant Manager, Quality and is part of the Quality Department located in Pasir Gudang, Johor and will be an on-site role. 

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

 

·       Inspect incoming materials and components to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

·       Maintain inspection records, COC and documentation, and manage non-conforming materials and corrective actions.

·       Collaborate with suppliers and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.

·       Ensure proper documentation, inspection procedures, visual aids, physical samples, and calibration of inspection equipment.

·       Support Quality System activities, employee training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

The essential requirements of the job include:

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in Incoming Quality or a related quality role.

·       Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

·       Experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or manufacturing environments.

·       Hands-on measurement experience using hand tools, microscopes, and image measuring systems.

·       Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.


Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Office, laboratory, and manufacturing role requiring frequent sitting, standing, walking, audits/testing, color recognition, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires daily computer use, a valid passport for international travel, and a valid driver’s license for local travel.

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • undefined
  • Knowledge of RCA, CAPA, risk management, and quality inspection techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1, and FDA regulations is an advantage.
  • ISO Internal Auditor certification and knowledge of statistical analysis are an advantage.

Bonus / Incentive Pay 

Up to 10% of annual base salary  


This job is also eligible for bonus pay.  This is the target earnings as % of base annual salary, subject to objective eligibility criteria and performance conditions as set out in the applicable scheme terms and conditions. 


This job is also eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits and specifically phone allowance, medical card, dental allowance and optical allowance.  Details regarding these benefits will be provided separately.
