Job Summary :

We are looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning across Water & Wastewater, HVAC, Oil & Gas, and other industries. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, manage tasks effectively, deliver excellent customer service, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, grow, and advance professionally.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute PLC programs and test plans to ensure reliable and functional automation systems.
  • Develop SCADA/HMI graphics and implement automation solutions based on client requirements.
  • Perform pre-commissioning activities, including cable termination verification, loop checking, and related checks.
  • Conduct field testing, commissioning, and SAT at client sites.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, I/O lists, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Maintain proper software versions, programming tools, and program backups.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for automation systems.
  • Understand task requirements and apply appropriate technical skills and knowledge to deliver solutions.
  • Manage medium to high-complexity tasks in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
  • Document procedures, findings, root causes, and recommendations for completed tasks.
  • Work closely with Sales and Project teams to understand client requirements and develop suitable solutions.
  • Demonstrate resilience, persistence, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal, consulting, communication, and technical presentation skills.

QHSE Responsibilities :

  • Comply with all QHSE standards, policies, and procedures relevant to your work.
  • Actively participate in QHSE meetings and complete all required safety inductions and trainings.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions; take corrective action where possible within your scope.
  • Follow guidance provided by QHSE officers and use PPE and emergency equipment correctly.
  • Support a safe work environment by cooperating with safety practices and encouraging others to do the same.

Requirements

Education

  • Technical School Graduation / Diploma in engineering (Instrumentation / Electronics / Industrial automation or related field).

Job-Specific Competencies

  • Strong software coding skills with Ladder logic, Functional block drawing and Structural Text is preferred
  • Strong understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP
  • Knowledge of Data Logging on Historian server or SQL server
  • Knowledge of PLC Redundancy configuration
  • Knowledge of SCADA Server and client configuration
  • Knowledge of Report generation from Historian server
  • Experience in the Process Industry is a must.

Skills

  • Good communication (Verbal & Written) & interpersonal skills.
  • Well versed in MS Office and Internet.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as P&ID, C&E, FDS, Project specification, QCS specification, ILD, MST, System architecture, Operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Technical expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, Historian system, Network components (Switches, FOC)
  • Technical knowledge, expertise, and capabilities to read and understand Structural text program, VB scripting and SQL.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Rockwell system (Micro 850, Control Logix, Compact Logix, Studio 5000, Factory Talk view SE, etc.), with a strong preference for candidates from the Process industry (Water and Wastewater, HVAC, Oil & GAS).
  • Previous experience as an Application Engineer or Testing & Commissioning engineer is a plus.
