Who we’re looking for
TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engine Build Technician, Cylinder Heads.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and prepare production race cylinder heads for final engine assembly used by TRD race teams.
- Assemble components to Engineering specifications, following established processes, procedures and quality standards.
- Perform detailed measurements, documentation of part / serial numbers and accurate computation for spec and compression ratio confirmation.
- Deliver high-quality work, addressing both scheduled and unscheduled tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Operation of Newen and Sunnen style cylinder head machining equipment to precise tolerances.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in both assembly processes and documentation.
- Update and maintain electronic build books with accurate component information.
- Support continuous improvement by refining processes and procedures in collaboration with team members.
- Troubleshoot issues and build technical understanding to resolve challenges effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tour-ready work area at all times.
What you will bring
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum five years’ experience in a racing engine environment.
- Proficient in operating Newen and Sunnen type cylinder head machining equipment.
- Hands-on experience with cylinder head and sub-assembly builds
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to proficiently use all build related tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Physical requirements:
- Standing: Frequent/Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
- Walking: Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
- Sitting: Occasionally/Intermittent
- Lifting: Up to 50 lbs., occasionally/Intermittent
- Carrying: Up to 50 lbs., occasionally/Intermittent
- Pushing/Pulling: ~100 lbs., occasionally/Intermittent
