Role Overview
The Engineering Graduate will support the delivery of engineering and operational activities across EnerMech projects, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global oil & gas and industrial services environment. The role is designed to develop technical capability, commercial awareness, and field readiness through structured rotations and on-the-job learning.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at EnerMech, you won’t just be watching from the sidelines. You’ll get hands-on exposure to real projects, equipment and operations, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians and building your career from day one.
- Get hands-on with real engineering – support the maintenance, inspection, testing and preparation of mechanical equipment used on live projects.
- Solve real-world problems – work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to troubleshoot mechanical challenges and find practical solutions.
- Experience life in the field – gain exposure to onshore and offshore operations and see how engineering solutions are delivered in real working environments.
- Be part of major projects – contribute to mobilisation plans, project schedules, resource planning and the preparation of equipment for deployment.
- Turn engineering theory into practice – work with drawings, specifications, calculations, technical documentation and client requirements.
- See projects from start to finish – gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and equipment preparation through to mobilisation, execution and close-out.
- Make safety part of how you engineer – contribute to risk assessments, safety planning and safe systems of work.
- Work across the business – collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, procurement and other teams to understand how successful projects come together.
- Build your commercial mindset – learn how engineering decisions connect to project costs, labour, materials, logistics and overall project performance.
- Learn from industry experts – work alongside experienced professionals, developing your technical knowledge, confidence and understanding of EnerMech’s equipment, services and technologies.

Development & Learning
- Participate in a structured graduate development programme
- Gain exposure across multiple service lines (e.g. cranes, lifting, hydraulics, or process services depending on business line)
- Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and operational leaders
- Build understanding of project lifecycle from bid through to execution and close-out
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
- 0–2 years’ experience (internships or placements advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel and work in field environments when required
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and industry standards
