This is a rare opportunity to lead an established team while driving enterprise-wide improvements across HR technology, service delivery, employee experience and process optimisation. Working at the centre of our People & Culture function, you’ll influence how employees and leaders engage with people systems, information and services across the entire employee lifecycle.

Available due to an internal promotion, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while building on strong operational foundations and helping define the future direction of Employee Services.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the People & Culture leadership team, you’ll lead the Employee Services function and drive the organisation’s People Operations improvement agenda.

You'll set the strategic direction of Employee Services, ensuring the function continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of employees, leaders and the business.

This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is energised by complexity and enjoys balancing operational leadership with strategic improvement initiatives.

You will lead initiatives across:

• Employee Services and People Operations
• HR Technology and Digital Transformation
• Continuous Improvement and Process Redesign
• Employee and Leader Experience
• Reporting, Analytics and Workforce Insights
• Knowledge Management and Information Accessibility
• Governance, Compliance and Operational Excellence

A key focus of the role will be identifying opportunities to create efficiencies through technology, automation and self-service capability, enabling the People & Culture team to focus on delivering greater strategic value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Employee Services function and establish a clear vision for operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Drive enterprise-wide initiatives that improve employee experiences and service delivery outcomes
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify, prioritise and deliver transformational improvements
• Lead the optimisation, implementation and adoption of HR technology solutions
• Expand self-service capability through improved systems, workflows, communications and knowledge resources
• Oversee workforce reporting, analytics and governance activities to support informed decision-making

About You

You're an experienced HR Operations or People Operations leader who thrives on solving problems, improving processes and helping teams perform at their best.

You’ll bring:

• Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance
• Experience leading HR Operations, Employee Services, Shared Services or People Operations functions
• Demonstrated success delivering process improvement, transformation or technology-enabled change initiatives
• Strong leadership capability and experience developing high-performing teams
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Experience using HRIS, reporting and workflow technologies
• The ability to influence, collaborate and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups
• A continuous improvement mindset and passion for creating better ways of working
