What you’ll do

As an Inspector 3, you will:

  • Perform final inspections and qualified inspection steps to confirm components meet engineering tolerances and performance standards.

  • Inspect electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, circuit cards (PC Boards), modules, and other components for correct assembly, values, form, and position against drawings and specifications.

  • Use a variety of measuring tools and gauges (e.g., micrometers, radius gauges) and read blueprints and schematics to verify dimensional and functional requirements.

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on complex mechanical and electronic parts and accept or reject units per established procedures.

  • Enter and escalate nonconformances in TIPQA and maintain inspection records and documentation.

  • Support and mentor other inspectors, set up inspection fixtures, and carry out routine inspection transactions in Oracle MRP.

  • Keep your workspace, tools, and documentation organized and follow company safety and quality processes.

Required skills, qualifications, and experience

Must-have:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. 

  • Certifications: IPC-A-610 Certification required. Willingness and ability to obtain Preliminary Review (PR) Certification.

  • Experience: 3–5 years manufacturing experience with at least 1 year of internal inspection experience. Experience inspecting PC Boards and electronic assemblies is strongly emphasized.

  • Inspection skills: Proficient in final inspections plus three or more inspection skills on the internal qualification matrix.

  • Measurement tools: Comfortable using micrometers, radius gauges, calipers, and other basic inspection devices.

  • Technical aptitude: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and work standards.

  • Computer skills: Basic computer literacy; experience with MRP systems (Oracle MRP experience preferred).

  • Other: Strong hand-eye coordination, dexterity, basic mathematical skills, attention to detail, and good written and oral communication.

Preferred attributes

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and self-directed teaming.

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Experience mentoring or training teammates.

  • Accurate, timely inspections that prevent nonconforming parts from progressing.

  • Clear documentation of inspection results and proactive communication of defects.

  • Strong collaboration with production and engineering to improve product quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to train peers and uphold safety and quality standards.

The base pay range for this position is $30 - $34/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This posting is expected to close on 10/5/2026.
