The Opportunity:

ARKA Group is seeking Electromechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. This position is fully on‑site.

Responsibilities:

You'll be part of the Mechanical Engineering department and support design and analysis of hardware for electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

Required: 

• Minimum 1 year of college or university and currently enrolled in the study of Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)
• CAD Experience (preferred PTC Creo)
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired:

• GD&T and applications of those principles on drawings
• Design and analysis experience
• Mechanical design and knowledge of fabrication methods and processes
• Product Data Management PDMLink
