About this Electrician role at MIRA CONSTRUCTION L.L.C
We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team in Dubai. The role involves installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment across construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and connect electrical power systems and equipment, including power cables, distribution boards, transformers, generators, and related components.
- Perform professional installation of power and control cables, control cabinets, grounding systems, and cable/conduit routes.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and wiring diagrams.
- Install, connect, configure, and test new electrical equipment and systems.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform measurements and electrical tests, including insulation resistance, phase sequence, circuit parameters, and protection device testing.
- Configure and test protective relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical protection equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
- Identify electrical faults and take corrective action to restore proper operation.
- Use electrical testing and measuring equipment, including proper connection, setup, and calibration.
- Work with a variety of professional electrical tools and equipment.
- Follow electrical safety requirements, use appropriate PPE, and maintain safe working practices on site.
- Cooperate with other technical teams and support the successful completion and handover of electrical works.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician / Electrical Installer, preferably in power networks, electrical installations, or construction projects; experience in the UAE is highly desirable.
- Technical education or relevant professional certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Good knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to read and work with electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Practical experience with power and control cable installation, distribution boards, control cabinets, grounding systems, and electrical equipment.
- Experience with electrical testing and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and safe working practices.
- Ability to diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
