Position Summary:  The Electrician I is responsible for trouble shooting electrical systems, up-grading electrical devices and equipment , as well as general plant  

facilities modernization.

Educational requirements:  

  • High school diploma or GED required  

  • Tech school certificate preferred  

Skills and experience:  

  • Three to five years of manufacturing experience in the electrical craft  

  • Three to five years work experience with troubleshooting, decommissioning and installation of equipment  

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal  

  • Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment (Lift trucks, JLG's, Scissor Lift)  

  • Basic computer aptitude  

  • Essential duties:  

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical systems with some electronics  

  • Familiar with electrical systems including, PLC, DC/AC drives, motors, HVAC, and power distributions  

  • Estimate, procure parts, modify and install electrical equipment  

  • Maintain housekeeping  

  • Comply with safety rules including lock out/ tag out procedures.  

  • Comply with environmental regulations  

  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)  

  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed.  

  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned  

Physical demands:  

  • Lifting up to 40 lbs.  

  • daily of climbing ladders and stairs  

  • extensive walking  

  • Work environment:  

  • Non-climate controlled work environment
