At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to play a pivotal role in the future of our Purfleet operation. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex industrial environment, drive improvement, influence investment decisions and make a measurable impact on safety, reliability and performance. What you'll be doing

You'll take responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all electrical, control and instrumentation systems across the site.

Working closely with operations, maintenance and project teams, you'll:

  • Improve plant reliability and availability
  • Lead electrical safety and compliance activities
  • Deliver plant upgrades and engineering projects
  • Support and develop skilled electrical and EC&I technicians
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage contractors, budgets and critical spare parts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Help shape a more sustainable and energy-efficient operation
  • Experienced in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical distribution systems from 110V up to 11kV, including LV final circuits, MCCs, motor control systems, HV switchgear, LV/HV motors, VSDs and HV transformers.
  • Ability to act as the site HV Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
