Job Description:

BW Packaging is looking for a talented Electrical Assembler who will join our team at our Stow, Ohio facility!  In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components, for packaging machinery, equipment, conveyance and/or sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications, schematics, and bills of material. This role requires strong electrical aptitude, precision assembly skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and operations to deliver high‑quality, safe, and reliable equipment.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Electrical assembly of machines and equipment, including machine wiring, electrical panels, junction boxes, control panels, sub-assembly and component assembly.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge of electrical safety and wiring standards.
  • Support machine testing, troubleshooting and factory acceptance tests prior to shipment.
  • Work closely with engineering and other production team members to ensure accurate documentation and resolve issues.
  • Ability to effectively operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, manlifts, etc.
  • Ability to work together within a team and work independently with little supervision.
  • May prepare equipment for shipping, including crating.
  • Flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to strategic priorities and business needs.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

 

Basic Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment
