GE Aerospace is seeking a senior site leader to oversee Facilities/Infrastructure, Maintenance, Utilities, Security, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) at the Strother site. This role is ideal for a leader with a strong track record of driving safety culture transformation in a complex manufacturing, industrial, or other highly regulated environment.

This leader will play a critical role in shaping a proactive, accountable, and engaged safety culture across the site — going beyond compliance to embed safety into daily operations, leadership behaviors, and decision-making. In addition, the role is responsible for the reliability, capacity, compliance, and long-term performance of the site’s facilities and infrastructure.

As a key member of the site leadership team, this individual will lead site EHS, maintenance, facilities, utilities, and security strategies; oversee major capital and infrastructure investments; and partner across operations and engineering to support safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the site’s Facilities/Infrastructure, Maintenance, Utilities, Security, and EHS functions
  • Drive a site-wide safety culture shift through leadership engagement, accountability, and employee ownership
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, security, and facility-related regulations
  • Lead site EHS strategy, risk reduction, and environmental stewardship efforts
  • Own the reliability, capacity, and long-term performance of the site’s physical plant and infrastructure
  • Develop and execute capital plans for infrastructure upgrades, modernization, and growth
  • Lead major facilities and utility projects, including building systems and critical infrastructure
  • Oversee maintenance and asset care strategies that improve uptime and operational continuity
  • Partner with operations and engineering leaders to align site capability with business needs
  • Manage capital and operating budgets with strong financial discipline
  • Lead contractors and external partners to ensure safe and effective execution
  • Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, facilities management, industrial technology, construction management, environmental health and safety, or a related technical field

OR

  • High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, plant engineering, EHS, or site operations leadership in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in EHS, facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, plant engineering, or technical operations leadership
  • Demonstrated success driving safety culture transformation
  • Experience leading in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or other highly regulated environment
  • Strong people leadership and cross-functional influencing skills
  • Experience leading capital projects and infrastructure investments
  • Working knowledge of EHS and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with maintenance, utilities, building systems, and site infrastructure
  • Strong financial, communication, and problem-solving skills
