The Registered EEG Technician performs routine and continuous neurodiagnostic studies based on age specific concerns as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred: 1 year of experience Long-term epilepsy monitoring unit
• 2 years of experience Intraoperative monitoring

EDUCATION

• High School graduate or equivalent, required
• Successful completion of an educational program for neurodiagnostic technologists, accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education, or equivalent training, required.
• Preferred: Diploma from accredited neurodiagnostic allied health program

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Certification Name: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist

  • Issuer: American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (ABRET)
  • Licensure Speciality: Certification
  • Entity: TOURO
• Registry in EEG by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Inc. (ABRET) or by the American Board of Certified and Registered Electroencephalographic Technicians and Technologists (ABCRET)
• And/or Certification of Medical Electroencephalograph Technologists; C.M.E.T.
