Social is a defining part of the job, not a side task: this person will own how Droga5 shows up on Instagram and LinkedIn, and needs to bring real social media instincts to that ownership, not just a willingness to post.

  • Oversee master calendar for industry events, internal happenings, campaign launches, and award submissions to stay ahead of press opportunities, upcoming launches, and award deadlines.
  • Own Droga5's social presence: take full ownership of the Instagram and LinkedIn channels
  • Build and maintain agency relationships with external award show managers and key trade reporters.
  • Help manage and execute Agency of the Year submissions and other awards, such as Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Effies, Webby's, WARC, and more
  • Oversee asset collection and case study video creation for all relevant entries, working with client teams, production, and creative resource managers to manage resource availability.
  • Support campaign launches by filling out key dates, messaging, and credits
  • Secure speaking opportunities at major industry events (Cannes Lions, SXSW, ANA, 4A's, CES).
  • Prepare briefs and tip sheets the PR team can use for Droga5 employees' media interviews and speaking opportunities, and coordinate with assistants on scheduling and travel needs.
  • Monitor and track news and social media for conversations about Droga5 employees, campaigns, clients, and industry trends.
  • Manage and update cloud drives with assets, both for comms (headshots, bios, logos) campaign launches (videos, credits, stills), etc.

Job Qualifications

-Minimum 3 years of PR experience at a creative agency. Experience should include:

  • Demonstrated ability in creating holistic communication programs that span engagement, content creation, social platforms and event management
  • Experience conceiving and pitching targeted stories to advertising, creative and business media with a proven track record of media relations results
  • The ability to think and act both strategically and tactically is critical to the success of the role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects; and, adjust priorities in a fast-moving business environment
