Position Summary
The Drainage Estimator specializes in estimating underground utility and stormwater infrastructure projects. This role develops project budgets and bid estimates for storm sewer systems, culverts, utility relocations, and drainage structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications related to drainage and utility scopes.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for storm sewer pipe, structures, manholes, box culverts, and utility components.
- Develop cost estimates for excavation, trenching, backfill, dewatering, and restoration.
- Analyze utility conflicts and constructability considerations.
- Coordinate pricing with suppliers and specialty subcontractors.
- Assist operations teams during preconstruction and project transitions.
- Support risk assessments and bid strategy reviews.
Preferred Experience
- Underground utility or drainage construction experience.
- Understanding of stormwater systems, pipe installation, and earthwork operations.
- Ability to read utility plans and utility relocation drawings.
- Familiarity with large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
